    Understanding the Importance of CPR

During a cardiac arrest event, where CPR needs to be performed, the role that the public plays in the Chain of Survival is absolutely crucial, in fact it dictates the outcome of the patient.

     PulsePoint App

In 2008, the American Heart Association ruled that chest compressions alone (Hands Only CPR), can help sustain an adult who has just suffered a cardiac arrest until paramedics arrive. The lungs and blood contain enough oxygen to keep vital organs healthy for the first few minutes, as long as someone provides quality chest compressions.

Heart Attack…When in Doubt, Get Checked Out!

In the event of a heart attack, most folks wait too long to seek medical attention at a time when minutes are critical to survival.

    Taking the Car out

    of Car-diac!

If you are having symptoms of a heart attack, dial 9-1-1. DO NOT drive in to a fire station or hospital.  Let us come to you. If you are on the road and things get worse, it will be harder to find you.

The firefighters might not be in the station or out on another call.  If you call from you home, we have an address to go and know where you are located.
