South Kitsap Fire and Rescue has asked community members to share their stories about how EMS made a difference in their lives. Here’s one from Johanna Baxter of South Colby, Wash.
“I grew up in the South Kitsap community. We are so lucky to have an EMS program with such a skilled, professional group of caring individuals who provide service. From the paramedic and chaplain who supported and comforted my family and me when we lost a loved one, to checking on my family to make sure they were okay after a fire, to assisting my family over the years during medical emergencies, I am so grateful to South Kitsap Fire and Rescue for keeping my family and community safe.”
