Community Assistance Referral and Education Services (CARES) Program
South Kitsap Fire and Rescue is proud to introduce the CARES Program, which launched in 2024.
As part of our ongoing commitment to prevention and community well-being, the CARES Program supports residents who frequently rely on 911-EMS for non-emergency needs.
Our goal is simple: help community members access the right level of medical care, social services, and local resources so they can improve their health and safely remain at home — without depending on emergency response for everyday concerns.
Through in-home visits, our CARES team works directly with residents to identify unmet needs and partner with local healthcare and social service organizations. Together, we connect individuals with the support and solutions that best serve their long-term safety, stability, and quality of life.
