Jeff Faucett
Fire Chief Jeff Faucett began his career in 1992 as a volunteer firefighter with Fire District 7 and joined South Kitsap Fire and Rescue in 1998. Rising through the ranks—Lieutenant, Captain, Battalion Chief, Division Chief, and Assistant Chief—he was appointed Fire Chief on July 1, 2020.
He holds an Associate’s Degree in Fire Science, a Bachelor’s in Fire Administration, and a Master’s in Management and Leadership. He is a graduate of the National Fire Academy’s Executive Fire Officer Program and has earned the Chief Fire Officer Designation from the Commission on Public Safety Excellence.
Chief Faucett serves on the Board of the Washington Fire Chiefs as Legislative Chair and represents Washington State as the Western Fire Chiefs Director. Locally, he is President of the Kitsap Fire Chiefs Association and President-Elect of the Port Orchard Rotary.
Committed to delivering the highest level of service to South Kitsap, his priorities include meeting national staffing standards, improving operational efficiency, and mentoring future leaders.
Jeff and his wife, Fawnda, enjoy traveling, golf, sports, and time with their three children, granddaughters Emmie and Rowyn, and extended family.
