As part of our community risk reduction efforts, we strive to make health and safety training and certifications accessible and affordable to our local community members. We offer several course classes throughout the year led by South Kitsap Fire and Rescue instructors.

How to Register for Class
Registration for classes is on a first-come, first-serve basis and can be done in-person or by calling our admin office (360-871-2411). Payment is due at time of registration to secure your spot in class, and we accept cash, check or card as forms of payment, with all card transaction incurring a convenience fee of $2.00 (subject to change). Payments are non-refundable. If you registered and paid, but are unable to attend, you may reschedule for a later class.

Class Details: Offered throughout the year, in-person only, for ages 10 or older. The Heartsaver Total CPR AED First AID Course is designed for anyone with little or no medical training who needs an OSHA-compliant course completion card for CPR training—or anyone who simply wants to be ready to respond in an emergency.
What does this course teach?
Heartsaver Total CPR AED First AID teaches the lifesaving skills of CPR and AED including:
- High-quality CPR for all ages
- Using an AED safely and effectively
- First aid for heart attacks, breathing problems, severe bleeding, shock, and stroke
- Choking relief techniques for adults, children, and infants
- Control of bleeding, bandaging, and using an epinephrine pen
- Recognizing common illnesses and injuries along with basic legal considerations for first aid providers
